Neogene Therapeutics is a pre-clinical stage biotechnology company aiming to change the paradigm of treatment for solid cancers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Warehouse and Materials Management Sr. Manager/Manager, depending on experience.  The position will be responsible for establishing full warehouse and materials management capabilities within Neogene Therapeutics from the ground up to support a variety of expanding activities and functions, including clinical trial execution, facilities operational readiness, manufacturing, translational sciences, process development, and quality testing. This role reports to the Director of Logistics and Warehousing in the supply chain team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set-up GMP and non-GMP warehousing spaces including implementation of policies, procedures and processes for warehouse operations and materials management.
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse activities including monitoring temperature-controlled equipment, performing inventory counts, ordering consumables and shipping/receiving raw materials, lab supplies, drug substance, drug product and samples.
  • Work in collaboration with manufacturing and quality control functions to develop and implement product traceability solutions for patient materials and drug product.
  • Coordinate movement of materials with various functional areas including manufacturing, process development, analytical development, translational sciences and quality control.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for deliveries to and shipments from the warehouse.
  • Monitor and measure warehouse activities to drive continuous improvements, as needed.
  • Evaluate and select warehouse and inventory management system(s).
  • Provide and execute organizational strategies to optimize warehouse and materials management capabilities.
  • Provide input to overall supply chain strategy and goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years with BS/BA or equivalent industry experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (cell therapy preferred).
  • Direct experience and knowledge in warehousing, materials management, logistics, cold chain operations, trade compliance, and Good Distribution Practices.
  • Knowledgeable with cGxP as well as regulatory regulations and compliance requirements for cell therapy and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in managing and developing staff.
  • Can work independently with no immediate direction.
  • Contributes to the development of complex new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Able to express ideas and present information effectively to leadership, within team functions, and to external partners.
  • Able to independently translate overall direction and strategy into functional strategy and work plans.
  • Develops solutions with creativity and innovative approaches.
  • Demonstrates active listening and continuous feedback within team, ability to facilitate problem solving, decision making, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communicator across organizational levels and functions in this collaborative work environment.

  • 10% travel may be required.
